Facebook May Integrate Bitcoins As Mark Zuckerberg Is 'Studying' The Cryptocurrency

While everyone is busy in welcoming the new year by making new resolutions, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg is planning big things for his platform. Recently, Bitcoins have taken the tech world by storm and its sudden price hike have captured all the eyes. From Banks to the tech companies all are investigating the technology behind the Bitcoins to revolutionize contemporary infrastructure. Mark Zuckerberg is the latest addition to the list after he commented on his Facebook page and shared his thoughts about the cryptocurrencies.

In last few months, the cryptocurrencies have become so much popular and made almost all of us curious about them. The Blockchain technology that is the backbone of the Bitcoin has made most of the tech giants to come up and share their visions and thoughts over it. Although there are already numerous platforms to operate the cryptocurrency using the blockchain technology, but a social media platform like Facebook will serve as the most powerful tool to boost up the crypto-culture.

“Every year I take on a personal challenge to learn something new. I’ve visited every US state, run 365 miles, built an AI for my home, read 25 books, and learned Mandarin.” Zuckerberg stated in the post on Facebook. Going forward, he discussed how the governments and higher authorities are using the centralized approach to monitor the citizens. Moreover, people are unaware of the decentralizing technology that could power up their privacy assurance against unwanted invasions. “There are important counter-trends to this –like encryption and cryptocurrency — that take power from centralized systems and put it back into people’s hands. But they come with the risk of being harder to control. I’m interested to go deeper and study the positive and negative aspects of these technologies, and how best to use them in our services” he added.

Zuckerberg isn't the only one interested in exploring the cryptocurrency, the tech leaders including Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Satya Nadella has already commented on it. However, Alibaba founder, Jack Ma said that "he is not a big fan of Bitcoins but he watches the Blockchain technology very carefully". By now, we have understood that the Blockchain technology could be our way to the more secure future. Moreover, if Facebook decides to integrate the cryptocurrency into the platform it will be a revolutionary change.

It is quite clear that Mark Zuckerberg has decided to learn the decentralized technology as his new year goal. This may also result in using the Blockchain technology for the Facebook user’s to make the platform more convenient.
