Snapchat Removes The Annoying White Borders From The Camera Roll Stories
Snapchat, the social media sharing network came up with a new change for its user's with the stories. The company has removed the white border from the pics being uploaded from the camera roll. If you are a regular Snap story users, then you must know how to differentiate between a real-time shared story or a camera captured image. The images uploaded form other than a Snapchat app for the story have a white border around them. But, with the new update, the company has removed that white border from the images.
The real-time sharing is a thing for Snapchat from the beginning and it never misses to emphasize it. That's the reason it added the white border on the images being uploaded from the camera roll. Without any other hint, this automatically notifies every user that the story was being posted via memory or camera roll. However, the company finally realizes that the users did not like that white frame on their story. As a result, the company rolled out a new update and removing the frame and eliminating the differentiating factor between real-time or camera roll image.
Now, the Snapchat images will be same as they were captured by the camera app. However, there is still some implementation bug in the feature, as the horizontally captured images get rotated automatically while importing into the app. This is not the only change that comes with the update, the snaps posted via camera roll or memories will be tagged as “Camera roll” or “Memories” from now. Along with this, after updating the app you will be able to save any chat. In any Snap “chat” conversation, on pressing the text for a long you will get the option to save it. Another feature that the company has added is the ability to see the friend’s location on Snap Map even in the group chat if the users have shared it.
For Snapchat, to whom the moment sharing or real-time activity is the key to allure the users, the move comes with a little surprise. Moreover, the company is now on the edge to fight its competitor Instagram, which is getting more popular with its much simpler policies for image sharing.
