WhatsApp Launches A Standalone App For Small Business
WhatsApp, the free messaging app has launched a separate app for the small businesses to give a more efficient platform for managing the business process. The company has launched a WhatsApp Business app that will help the small-scale businesses to connect with their customers more easily. In the WhatsApp business, the users will have a different business profile including all the details such as email id, business description, store address and website URL.
The newly launched app has features that will make the business process less of a hassle. The user will have smart messaging tools such as greeting, quick replies and away messages to instantly chat with the customers. In addition to this, the company has also added some of the metrics like the count of all the messages have been sent, delivered and read by the customers. Overall the app has been crafted for the small business owners to easily handle the clients via the chatting app.
The users who already have the standard WhatsApp app doesn't have to worry about using both the app on the same device. The WhatsApp Business app can be installed and run on the same device with the standard WhatsApp app, however, both the apps should be registered with different numbers. According to the company, the business accounts will be listed with details. Going forward those businesses who have confirmed their registered number with their business one will get a verification badge on their profile. The standard WhatsApp users will continue to use the app in the same way and have the authority to block and report spam to any of the business accounts. The app is also compatible with the web version and can be accessed using the desktop just like its standard one.
For now, the app is available only for the Android users and there is no sign for iOS yet from the company. The users from Indonesia, the UK, the US, Mexico, and Italy can access the app now and the global release will be coming in the next few weeks. The company has launched the App in India on Tuesday.
